- Snack break: 15 minutes in the morning
- Lunch break: 30 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of recess

Middle school:

- Different teacher for each subject
- Students can choose their foreign language

High school:

- There are some course that all student have to take; after that student can choose their courses

What do they learn in high school?
- English: American literature and British literature
- Math: geometry, algebra, calculus, stat
- Science: environmental science, biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy
- Social studies: American history, world history politics, anthropology, media and communication
- Art: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography
- Music: band, orchestra, chorus
- Gym: sports, games, fitness
School day:
- 7:35-2:05 (6.5 hours)
- 1st period: 7:35-9:15 am
- 2nd period: 9:15-10:40 am
- 3rd period: 10:45 am – 12:35 pm (longer because of lunch)
- 4th period: 12:35-2:05 pm
Their holidays are: 3 days for thanksgiving, 2 weeks in October, 2 weeks in December, 1 week in March and 1 week in April. They finish school at 18 June.
They have exam just for high school. BAC = SAT/ACT.
We think American school is better because schooldays are shorter. What about you?
