The country we chose is Mozambique. 

It became a member of the Commonwealth of Nations in 1995.

It is situated in South Eastern Africa. The capital of Mozambique is Maputo.

There are 22 061 451 people.  The area is 801 590 km². Mozambique has a tropical climate. July and August are Mozambique's coolest months even though the temperature reaches over 30°C by day.  In this country, the people speak Portuguese. You can’t leave Mozambique if you don’t see its beaches and islands.

We chose this country because we didn’t know anything about Mozambique and we wanted to learn more about this country.

Canada is situated in the North of America. Its capital city is Ottawa .There are 33 476 700 people  in Canada. The area is 9 984 670 km². 

The climate in January is  -15 °C, in April  5°C, in August 18°C, in October 5°C, in December -10°C.

The language spoken is English and French.

The main places of interests are Osoyoos, British Columbia/ Chester, New Scotland / St Boniface, Manitoba / Dundas, Ontario/ Fogo Island New Ground.

We chose this country because we would like to visit Montreal and also see the Niagara Falls.

Pakistan is situated in South Asia and the capital city is Islamabad.

There are 180 440 005 people in 2012.

The area is 796 095 km².

The climate in Pakistan is varied :
In January, the temperature is from 3°C to 17°C.
In March, the temperature is from 10°C to 24°C.
In May, the temperature is from 21°C to 37°C.
In July, the temperature is from 25°C to 37°C.
In September, the temperature is from 21°C to 34°C.
In December, the temperature is from 3°C to 19°C.

They speak Urdu and English.

Pakistan is the sixth most populous country in the world.
One of the most popular sport is Cricket
Pakistan exports and imports a lot of oil.

We chose this country because :
We would like to visit it later .
We are interested in its food and traditions.
We didn't know it exported and imported oil.
We wanted to show its culture.
It's a well known country for sport.

For Christmas, the Americans buy a christmas tree.They decorate it with ornaments, tinsel, lights, candy canes and a star.They put outside decorations.

For Christmas Eve, they eat roastbeef, mashed potatoes, green beans, huckleberry pie, they drink egg nog (eggs, cream, sugar, cinnamon).

The names of Santa Claus are: Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Kris Kringle, Santy, Santa. (In England it's Father Christmas)

On Christmas day they open presents with their family and they watch a movie or a cartoon. Morgan likes to watch The Grinch. They sing the song of the Grinch.

We think the meal looks good, the tradition is interesting and the cartoon is funny.

We also sang an extract of the song from the original 1966 How The Grinch  Stole Christmas cartoon : You can watch it here!

We watched and talked about this poetic Christmas advert for a famous English store "that celebrates the extra mile we all go to at Christmas to find the perfect gift" for the people you love...

We loved the song so much (The Power of Love) that we studied the lyrics (we hope you'll like it too!)
